Shop Name Boards Street by Street in Lucknow (2026): What Hazratganj, Aminabad and Gomti Nagar Each Need

Shop name boards in Lucknow are published at Rs.350 to Rs.550 a sq ft for ACP, Rs.480 to Rs.750 with 3D letters, Rs.140 to Rs.260 for a GSB glow sign, Rs.300 to Rs.500 for government specification and Rs.40 to Rs.75 non-lit, installed with bilingual design and LMC permit work. Hazratganj takes restrained 3D letters, Aminabad and Chowk take Hindi-Urdu ACP in Nastaliq, Gomti Nagar takes crisp Hindi-English, and winter fog makes the glow sign the cheapest board per year.

Five Lucknow corridors, one published card. What Hazratganj, Aminabad and Chowk, Gomti Nagar, Aliganj and the Vidhan Sabha belt each need, why fog favours the glow sign, and why our own jobs came in under the card.

Rs.1,200 to Rs.22,500. That is the spread of one published card for the same 30 sq ft frontage in Lucknow: a non-lit board for a coaching centre near Rajajipuram at the bottom, ACP with raised 3D letters on MG Marg in Hazratganj at the top. The card does not change between streets. The street changes which line of the card is the right one. Our Lucknow shop name board page publishes five high demand corridors, two scripts and a government specification belt, and this guide walks them one by one, with the published card priced against each.

What does a shop name board cost in Lucknow in 2026?

The Lucknow card is published per square foot, installed, and every rate includes Hindi-Urdu or Hindi-English design, fabrication, transport, installation and LMC permit work, with a 2 year warranty. The page publishes a 4 by 2 ft total for each format. We have added a 10 by 3 ft frontage, 30 sq ft, as a typical main road fascia; that size is our choice, and the arithmetic is simply the published rate times the area.

Most Popular

ACP board, PVDF

Rs.350 to Rs.550per sq ft, installed

Rs.2,800 to Rs.4,400 for 4 by 2 ft, Rs.10,500 to Rs.16,500 for 30 sq ft. 5 days to install, 5 plus years of published life. The Aminabad and Chowk workhorse.

ACP with 3D letters

Rs.480 to Rs.750per sq ft, installed

Rs.3,840 to Rs.6,000 for 4 by 2 ft, Rs.14,400 to Rs.22,500 for 30 sq ft. 5 to 7 days, 5 plus years. The Hazratganj and Gomti Nagar flagship format.

GSB glow sign

Rs.140 to Rs.260per sq ft, installed

Rs.1,120 to Rs.2,080 for 4 by 2 ft, Rs.4,200 to Rs.7,800 for 30 sq ft. 5 days, 3 to 5 years, IP65 enclosure. The fog and evening trade board.

Government and institutional

Rs.300 to Rs.500per sq ft, installed

Rs.2,400 to Rs.4,000 for 4 by 2 ft, Rs.9,000 to Rs.15,000 for 30 sq ft. 5 days, 5 plus years, built to UP department specification with a compliance certificate at handover.

Non-lit board

Rs.40 to Rs.75per sq ft, installed

Rs.320 to Rs.600 for 4 by 2 ft, Rs.1,200 to Rs.2,250 for 30 sq ft. 3 days, 8 to 12 months of published life. The coaching centre starter.

Published 2026 Lucknow rate card, per sq ft, installed, bilingual design and LMC permit work included, 2 year warranty. The 4 by 2 ft totals are published; the 30 sq ft totals are our arithmetic on the same rates. Multi-outlet discounts from 3 locations are published without a percentage. The page does not say whether GST sits inside the rate, so ask on the quote.

Installation is 5 days for ACP and GSB, 5 to 7 days when 3D letters are added, 3 days for a non-lit board, and a 48 hour emergency track is published at a 20 percent premium. Government jobs stay on the 5 day track because the compliance paperwork runs alongside fabrication.

Which board suits which Lucknow street?

Our Lucknow page publishes five high demand corridors, the script each one reads in, and the board it usually takes. Unlike our Chennai page it does not publish a monthly count of new storefronts per corridor, so this guide ranks nothing by volume; it maps each street to its line of the card.

The five published Lucknow corridors: script, default board and 30 sq ft price

CorridorPublished demandScriptDefault boardOur 30 sq ft price

Why does a Hazratganj board have to be quieter than its budget?

Because on MG Marg the street sets the brief before the shop does. Hazratganj's restored colonial facades follow a coordinated look, which our page describes as its cream-and-maroon discipline, and signage is expected to sit inside that scheme. The page's three rules for the Ganj are restrained colours that respect the facade palette, lettering proportioned to the colonnade line, and premium execution, because a cheap looking fascia is more conspicuous here than a loud one.

That is why the default is ACP with 3D letters rather than a bigger, brighter panel. On a 30 sq ft frontage it is Rs.14,400 to Rs.22,500, the top of the Lucknow card, and the money goes into the finish of the letters, not the size of the board. The same page publishes signage budgets on this strip as the highest in the city. A GSB glow sign carries the evening trade on the same facades, and for a fashion or electronics store the practical pairing is a 3D letter fascia with a smaller lit element that stays inside the colour scheme.

Why do Aminabad and Chowk need two scripts on one board?

Because the old city reads in two. Our page names Aminabad, Chowk, Nakkhas, Hussainganj and Kaiserbagh as Hindi-Urdu zones with a large Urdu reading public, and says a Hindi only fascia quietly waves that walk in trade past the door. Hindi draws the passing crowd; Nastaliq Urdu tells the old city the shop belongs to it. The page keeps an in-house calligrapher for that line and runs a separate quality check on the Urdu before final QA, because customers here notice instantly when the script is drawn wrong, and a generic Urdu font is the mistake it corrects most often.

The second rule of these bazaars is survival. Hundreds of boards stack above narrow frontages and buyers navigate by memory and landmark, so the page wins visibility with contrast, height discipline and two scripts, not size. Budget ACP does most of the work at Rs.10,500 to Rs.16,500 for 30 sq ft. The Nawabi vocabulary, an arch motif over a kebab house or a gold accented border on a chikan shop, is published as earning real money here rather than decoration, because it reads as pedigree to a buyer choosing between look alike stores. Jewellery and chikan orders peak through the November to February wedding calendar.

What changes in Gomti Nagar and on the Shaheed Path?

The grammar. Vibhuti Khand and the Shaheed Path frontage are planned commercial blocks with wide, regular facades, so boards scale up and nothing heritage is expected: clean Hindi-English layouts, ACP with 3D letters on flagship units and franchise specification fabrication for national chains. The page lists Gomti Nagar Extension, Sushant Golf City and the Shaheed Path as the new growth belt and Vibhuti Khand and Sahara States among the premium areas.

A brand that opens in both Aminabad and Gomti Nagar therefore needs two boards designed as a pair: the same colours and mark, Hindi-Urdu with a Nawabi hand for the bazaar, crisp Hindi-English for the new city. One of the three published Lucknow jobs is a Gomti Nagar franchise roll out, three outlets of brand compliant ACP with 3D letters for Rs.36,000 in total, which the page sets against Rs.64,000 at Bangalore rates. That is a Rs.28,000 saving, 43.75 percent on our division, which the page rounds to 44.

Why does Lucknow fog push shops toward a glow sign?

Through December and January our page describes visibility on some mornings and evenings dropping to a few shop lengths. A non-lit board effectively goes off duty for exactly the hours when buyers are out, and for the pharmacies, clinics and eateries of Aliganj and Indira Nagar those are the hours that pay the rent. That is why the page pushes GSB illumination harder in Lucknow than its price alone explains.

The price argues the same way once life is counted. Dividing each 30 sq ft price by its published life, which is our arithmetic, a GSB board costs Rs.840 to Rs.2,600 a year over 3 to 5 years, while a non-lit board costs Rs.1,200 to Rs.3,375 a year because it lasts only 8 to 12 months. The glow sign is cheaper per year and works through the fog. The page also rates its GSB enclosures IP65 and monsoon rated for the June to September rains it puts at about 1,000 mm.

Our arithmetic: a 30 sq ft Lucknow board, cost per year of published life

FormatPrice for 30 sq ftPublished lifeCost per yearWorks in fog and after dark
GSB glow signRs.4,200 to Rs.7,8003 to 5 yearsRs.840 to Rs.2,600Yes
Non-lit boardRs.1,200 to Rs.2,2508 to 12 monthsRs.1,200 to Rs.3,375No
ACP boardRs.10,500 to Rs.16,5005 plus yearsRs.2,100 to Rs.3,300 at mostOnly if lit separately

When is a non-lit board the right buy in Lucknow?

When the tenancy or the deadline is shorter than the board. The page names coaching centres around Hazratganj and Rajajipuram as the buyers who start with non-lit boards at Rs.40 to Rs.75 a sq ft, installed in 3 days to beat a batch opening, and says those who settle in step up to budget ACP at Rs.350 a sq ft. The page's own FAQ quotes a Rs.500 non-lit coaching board in Rajajipuram. Unlike our Chennai page, the Lucknow page does not publish an average coaching tenancy, so we will not claim one; if the lease is under a year, non-lit is rational, and if the centre expects to stay through a winter, a glow sign is the better buy on the table above.

What do government offices near Vidhan Sabha Marg need?

A rulebook, not a design brief. The page describes UP department signage as mandatory Hindi-English, prescribed dimensions and department specific colours, and lists Vidhan Sabha Marg, Lalbagh, Civil Lines, the GPO area and the Secretariat as the government belt. The line on the card is Rs.300 to Rs.500 a sq ft with a compliance certificate at handover. The published job is 12 boards for a UP department's new office building, Rs.42,000 in total, delivered in 8 days, which is Rs.3,500 a board on our division. Private shops on the heritage frontages of the same belt may add Hindi-Urdu, which the page lists as optional there.

Do our own published Lucknow jobs match the card?

We ran the same check as in our Hyderabad and Chennai street guides. Only one Lucknow job publishes both a size and a price, and it came in well below the card. The other two publish totals without sizes, so we can only show what size the card would imply for them.

The three published Lucknow jobs against the published card

JobWhat the page publishesOur divisionWhat the card would give
Kebab restaurant, Aminabad6 by 3 ft, 18 sq ft, ACP with Nawabi arch and Hindi-Urdu Nastaliq, Rs.4,200About Rs.233 a sq ftRs.6,300 to Rs.9,900 at the ACP rate of Rs.350 to Rs.550
Franchise, 3 Gomti Nagar outletsACP with 3D letters, Rs.36,000 total, 7 days, no sizesRs.12,000 an outlet16 to 25 sq ft an outlet at Rs.480 to Rs.750, our inference
UP department office, Vidhan Sabha area12 government boards, Rs.42,000 total, 8 days, no sizesRs.3,500 a board7 to 11.7 sq ft a board at Rs.300 to Rs.500, our inference

The Aminabad board is about Rs.233 a sq ft against a card that starts at Rs.350. We cannot tell from the page whether it predates the 2026 card, carried a launch discount or was measured on a smaller lettered area than the full frontage, so we name the gap rather than explain it away. For a budget, plan on the card.

Which Lucknow figure should you plan on?

The live card, for three reasons worth saying plainly. First, our July Lucknow guide on cost and Nagar Nigam rules quoted lower starting points, ACP from Rs 180 a sq ft; the live Lucknow page now publishes ACP from Rs.350, and the live page is the one to quote from. Second, the page's headline says Lucknow runs 30 to 40 percent below our Bangalore and Mumbai cards, but its own per sq ft table shows savings of about 38 to 53 percent against Bangalore, from ACP at Rs.350 against Rs.690 to non-lit at Rs.40 against Rs.85. The headline is the conservative figure. Third, the rates include LMC permit work, but the page publishes no LMC fee figure, so ask for any permit charge on its own line.

The saving is also smaller than the page's sales tip makes it sound. A 30 sq ft ACP board is Rs.10,500 to Rs.16,500 in Lucknow and Rs.20,700 to Rs.28,500 at the Bangalore rates the page quotes, a difference of Rs.10,200 to Rs.12,000. The smallest bookings on our national cards are 1,000 no-parking boards at Rs.45, which is Rs.45,000, 50,000 A5 newspaper inserts at Rs.1.25, which is Rs.62,500, and 300 auto hoods at Rs.650, which is Rs.1,95,000. One board's saving is about a quarter of the smallest of those. It pays for the next campaign only once a brand is fitting four or five storefronts.

When should a Lucknow board go up?

Now, if the shop sells into the wedding season or trades after dark. The page publishes the November to February wedding calendar as the peak for jewellery and chikan orders, and fog through December and January as the reason to light the board. At 5 days for ACP and GSB, a survey booked in the first half of October puts the board up well before either. A board that cannot wait takes the 48 hour track at a 20 percent premium, which on a 30 sq ft GSB board is Rs.840 to Rs.1,560 extra on our arithmetic.

How much does a shop board cost in Aminabad or Chowk?

The usual Aminabad and Chowk board is budget ACP with Hindi-Urdu lettering, Rs.350 to Rs.550 a sq ft on the published Lucknow card, installed with Nastaliq calligraphy and LMC permit work. That is Rs.2,800 to Rs.4,400 for a 4 by 2 ft board and Rs.10,500 to Rs.16,500 for a 30 sq ft frontage on our arithmetic. Nawabi touches such as an arch motif or a gold border sit within the same card.

Do Hazratganj shop boards have to follow a set style?

Our Lucknow page says the restored colonial facades of Hazratganj follow a coordinated cream-and-maroon look and that shop signage is expected to sit inside that scheme. It designs Ganj boards with restrained colours, lettering proportioned to the colonnade line and premium execution, usually ACP with 3D letters at Rs.480 to Rs.750 a sq ft. It does not publish a rule number or fee, so confirm the current LMC position on the quote.

Is a glow sign worth it in Lucknow?

Usually, yes. Through December and January, fog cuts visibility on some mornings and evenings to a few shop lengths, and a non-lit board stops working in those hours. A 30 sq ft GSB board costs Rs.4,200 to Rs.7,800 and lasts 3 to 5 years, about Rs.840 to Rs.2,600 a year on our arithmetic, against Rs.1,200 to Rs.3,375 a year for a non-lit board that lasts 8 to 12 months.

Which Lucknow areas need a Hindi-Urdu shop board?

Our page names Aminabad, Chowk, Nakkhas, Hussainganj and Kaiserbagh as the Hindi-Urdu zones of Old Lucknow, where a large Urdu reading public shops and a Hindi only board loses walk ins. It sets the Urdu line in hand drawn Nastaliq by an in-house calligrapher. Gomti Nagar, the Shaheed Path and the newer corridors take Hindi-English, and Hindi-Urdu is optional on heritage frontages near Civil Lines.

How long does a shop board take to install in Lucknow?

The published Lucknow timeline is 5 days from survey to installation for ACP and GSB boards, 5 to 7 days when 3D letters are added, and 3 days for a non-lit board. A 48 hour emergency track is available at a 20 percent premium. Government jobs stay on the standard 5 day track because the compliance paperwork runs alongside fabrication; the published 12 board department job took 8 days.

How much does a shop name board cost in Lucknow in 2026?

The published Lucknow card is per square foot, installed: ACP Rs.350 to Rs.550, ACP with 3D letters Rs.480 to Rs.750, a GSB glow sign Rs.140 to Rs.260, government specification boards Rs.300 to Rs.500 and non-lit boards Rs.40 to Rs.75. Bilingual design, fabrication, transport, installation and LMC permit work are included, with a 2 year warranty. A 4 by 2 ft ACP board is Rs.2,800 to Rs.4,400.

Which shop board suits which Lucknow area?

Our page maps five corridors. Hazratganj and MG Marg take restrained ACP with 3D letters inside the facade scheme. Aminabad and Chowk take budget ACP in Hindi-Urdu with Nastaliq and Nawabi touches. Gomti Nagar takes crisp Hindi-English ACP with 3D letters on flagships. Aliganj and Indira Nagar take ACP and GSB for clinics and pharmacies. The Vidhan Sabha belt takes government specification boards.

Does the Lucknow board price include LMC permits?

Yes. On our published Lucknow card every per square foot rate includes LMC permit work, filed by our team, and government jobs also get a department compliance certificate at handover. The page does not publish an LMC fee figure, and our July Lucknow guide notes that the Nagar Nigam levies advertisement fees, so ask for any permit charge to appear as its own line on the quote.
