A Month of Reels on a Rs.30,000 Social Media Plan: The Production Calendar (2026)

Four reels a month from one phone shoot, scheduled alongside 12 designed posts. Here is the published loop behind our Social Presence plan, laid out day by day and week by week, with the arithmetic that lets a Rs.30,000 fee carry reels at all.

On our Rs.30,000 Social Presence plan, the month's 4 reels come from one phone shoot you do from a shot list sent with the calendar by the 25th. We edit them to 15 to 45 seconds with captions and a 2-second hook, schedule approved content by the 28th, and publish about one reel a week beside 12 designed posts.

Key takeaways

  • Rs.30,000 a month (Rs.35,400 with 18 percent GST) buys 2 platforms, 12 designed posts and 4 reels edited from your footage, plus replies in business hours and a monthly report.
  • The loop: calendar and shot list by the 25th, your approvals and phone footage, everything approved designed and scheduled by the 28th, and a format review every fortnight.
  • At production-house rates of Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000 per vertical video, 4 reels alone would cost Rs.20,000 to Rs.80,000. Batching one shoot from your phone is what fits them inside the fee.
  • A reel is 3 to 5 times the labour of a static post, so 4 reels are 12 to 20 post-equivalents, about half to five-eighths of the month's production work, on our arithmetic.
  • Month 1 is setup, with posting starting in weeks 3 to 4. Judge the plan at 90 days on profile visits, link clicks, saves and enquiries, not followers.

Most social media quotes in India list a number of reels and stop there. Our social media marketing service publishes the plan and the loop behind it: Social Presence is Rs.30,000 a month (about $600) for 2 platforms, 12 designed posts and 4 reels edited from footage you shoot on a phone, with the calendar for the next month reaching you by the 25th. This playbook lays that month out as a production calendar: what happens between the 25th and the 28th, how one phone session becomes four reels, which week each reel goes out, and why the fee can carry reels when a production house charges Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000 for one.

Sixteen pieces a month on two platforms is four a week on each, which sits inside the 3 to 4 posts per platform per week the page names as the cadence it can hold at quality. Averaged over everything, the fee is about Rs.1,875 per finished piece, replies and the report included, though that average hides the real split: a reel takes 3 to 5 times the labour of a static post, so the 4 reels are 12 to 20 post-equivalents and roughly half to five-eighths of the month's production work. The reels are where the plan's money goes.

What happens between the 25th and the 28th?

The page describes a monthly loop that starts before the month does. Laid out as dates for a November calendar, it runs like this:

  1. By 25 October: the November calendar arrives in a shared sheet or board, with every post and reel dated and drafted against the 3 to 5 content pillars agreed in onboarding, captions written and a shot list for the 4 reels.
  2. 25 to 27 October: you approve, edit or reject each item. Nothing is scheduled that you have not seen.
  3. 25 to 27 October: you film the shot list on a phone in one session and upload the clips. This is the step the plan depends on.
  4. By 28 October: everything approved is designed and scheduled, so the first week of November is never a scramble.
  5. Through November: replies inside business hours, a format review in the second fortnight, the written report at month end, and the December calendar by 25 November.

There is one honest tension in that timeline. Reels cannot be edited before the footage exists, and the window from the calendar on the 25th to scheduling on the 28th is three days. If your clips arrive inside it, all four reels are scheduled with the posts. If they arrive later, the 12 posts still go out on time and the reels are slotted into weeks 2 to 4 as they are finished. Our advice is to block the 26th or 27th for the shoot every month, the way you would block a supplier delivery.

How do four reels come out of one phone session?

By giving each reel a different job before anyone presses record. The page names the pillars a calendar is drafted against: offers, proof such as customer stories or process footage, education, and the personality of the business. Four reels map neatly onto four pillars, one each, so a single session films four different stories rather than four takes of one. Our social media management cost guide explains why reels move a plan between price bands; this is the practical side of the same point.

One phone session, four reels: a pillar-per-reel shot list (our planning template, built on the pillars the page names)
ReelPillarWhat the shot list asks you to filmGoes out
1OfferThe product or service, the price or offer on screen, and the way to enquireWeek 1
2ProofA customer story, a before-and-after, or the process behind the workWeek 2
3EducationOne question buyers ask, answered in a single takeWeek 3
4PersonalityThe team, the place, a behind-the-scenes momentWeek 4

Each reel still has to land in 15 to 45 seconds with its idea in the first 2 seconds, so the shot list asks for the opening shot first and keeps every reel to one idea. The page credits that discipline to the parent business, which designs creatives that run on auto rickshaws and hoardings, where a message has about 2 seconds to land on a moving street. Vertical framing, steady light and clean sound do more for a phone shoot than any equipment, and the edit adds captions and licensed or trending audio where it fits. Licensed music or stock footage that you approve for a specific post is billed separately, so the shot list is written to avoid needing it.

Which week does each reel go out?

A Social Presence month, week by week (published deliverables, our scheduling)
WeekDesigned postsReelWhat else happens
13Reel 1, offerReplies daily inside business hours; enquiries handed to your sales channel within the hour
23Reel 2, proofFirst-fortnight numbers read: saves, shares, profile visits, link clicks
33Reel 3, educationFormat review: one underperforming format swapped, one winner repeated
43Reel 4, personalityNext month's calendar and shot list by the 25th; monthly report at month end

The fortnightly review is where a four-reel month has less room than a bigger plan. The page's rule is to swap the format that underperformed and add one more of the format that worked. On Social Growth that can mean another shoot setup the next month; on Social Presence, our practice is to apply it to the next month's shot list, and where the footage allows, to re-cut a winning reel's clips into a different opening rather than inventing a fifth reel the plan does not include.

Why can a Rs.30,000 plan carry four reels when one reel can cost Rs.20,000?

Because the expensive part of a reel is usually the shoot, and this plan moves the shoot to you. The page says Indian production houses typically charge Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000 per short vertical video, which puts four reels at Rs.20,000 to Rs.80,000 before a single static post is designed. It also warns that an agency promising 12 reels a month for Rs.20,000 is either recycling stock footage or not making 12 reels. What Social Presence sells is the planning, the shot list and the edit, with the filming done on your phone, which is why the next two plans add shoots rather than only more edits.

Social BrandRs.1,00,00012, plus 20 postsUs, a full shoot dayAbout Rs.3,125 across 32 pieces, with paid social and creators coordinated

The last column is a blunt average that ignores what else each plan includes, a third and fourth platform, boost management, creator coordination, so read it as a sanity check rather than a price list. The comparison that matters for most small businesses is the second row against the first: the whole Social Presence month costs less than the top of the production-house price for two reels.

What does one reel become across two platforms?

On Social Presence, each reel goes to both platforms you chose, Instagram plus Facebook or LinkedIn, and the page counts a reel adapted for two platforms once. The edited reels, raw footage, design source files and caption bank are delivered to your Drive every month, so the same files can be reposted elsewhere. Google's YouTube Help says Shorts can be up to 3 minutes long, comfortably above the 15 to 45 seconds these reels are cut to. Adding a platform for us to manage moves you to the next plan, which covers 3 platforms. If the goal is reach beyond followers rather than a third channel, our YouTube ads versus Instagram Reels ads comparison covers the paid route, run under Meta Ads management from Rs.25,000 a month.

When should you move from Social Presence to Social Growth?

When the bottleneck is the filming, not the edit. Social Growth is Rs.55,000 a month, Rs.25,000 more, and adds a half-day shoot every month that yields 8 reels plus stills, 4 more designed posts, 8 stories, a third platform, management of boosted posts from your own ad account, and a fortnightly report with a strategy call. If your team cannot reliably film on the 26th or 27th, or the product needs better light and sound than a phone session gives, the extra Rs.25,000 buys the shoot that the cheaper plan leaves to you. If the filming is not the problem, four reels a month made from your own footage is a sustainable rhythm on its own.

What the Rs.30,000 does not include

Boost and ad budgets, paid by you to the platform; creator and influencer fees; photography or video production beyond your own phone footage; licensed music, stock footage or paid fonts you approve for specific posts; travel or a local videographer if you ask for one; and GST. The plan also has no designed stories or boost management; both start on Social Growth.

What should the first 90 days look like?

The page sets out the start: week 1 audits your current pages, competitors and best-performing posts and agrees platforms, pillars and the enquiry handoff in writing; week 2 builds the voice guide, design templates, hashtag research, the response sheet for DMs and account hygiene with you as admin; weeks 3 to 4 draft, approve and schedule the first calendar, run the first shot list and start posting. By day 90 that is roughly two full calendars, about 8 reels and 24 designed posts, on our arithmetic. The page expects consistency to show in 4 to 6 weeks and social enquiries to begin in the second and third month, and asks you to judge the plan at 90 days on profile visits, link clicks, saves and enquiries. Our monthly digital budget guide shows where Rs.30,000 for social fits beside search and ads, and every plan's price sits on our digital marketing pricing page.

Frequently asked questions

Who shoots the reels on a Rs.30,000 social media plan?

On our Social Presence plan, you do, on a phone, from a shot list we send with each month's calendar by the 25th. We edit 4 reels from that footage to 15 to 45 seconds with captions, audio and a hook in the first 2 seconds. Shoot days start on Social Growth at Rs.55,000 a month, with a half-day shoot that yields 8 reels plus photos.

What happens if our reel footage arrives late in the month?

The posts still go out on schedule. Approved content is designed and scheduled by the 28th, so footage that arrives inside the 25th to 28th window lets all four reels be scheduled with the posts. Footage that arrives later is edited as it comes in and the reels are slotted into weeks 2 to 4. Blocking the 26th or 27th each month for the shoot avoids the gap.

Can a reel made for Instagram be posted on Facebook or YouTube Shorts too?

Yes. On our plans a reel adapted for two platforms counts once, so on Social Presence each reel goes to Instagram and your second platform, Facebook or LinkedIn, without using a second reel. Edited files are delivered to your Drive monthly, so you can repost them as YouTube Shorts, which Google says can run up to 3 minutes. Having us manage a third platform moves you to Social Growth.

Are four reels a month enough for a small business?

For a consistent presence, usually yes. Four reels plus 12 designed posts on two platforms is four pieces a week on each, inside the 3 to 4 per platform per week our social page names as a sustainable cadence. More reels make sense when you have more to show than one phone session can film, which is the point where Social Growth's 8 reels and monthly half-day shoot earn the extra Rs.25,000.

Why do agencies charge more for reels than for posts?

Because a reel needs footage, a hook, an edit, captions and sound, which our social page puts at 3 to 5 times the labour of a static post. Indian production houses typically charge Rs.5,000 to Rs.20,000 per short vertical video. Our Rs.30,000 Social Presence plan fits 4 reels by having you film from our shot list, so the fee pays for planning and editing rather than a crew.
