Social Media Management Cost in India (2026): Posts, Reels and Platforms Per Price Band

What ₹30,000, ₹55,000 and ₹1,00,000 a month actually buy, deliverable by deliverable, and why the number of reels is the line that moves you between bands.

Social media management in India costs ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 a month for 8 to 12 posts and a few reels, ₹40,000 to ₹90,000 for 12 to 20 posts with 4 to 8 reels, and ₹70,000 to ₹1,80,000 for full service with shoots and paid social. Mediaverse Digital publishes ₹30,000, ₹55,000 and ₹1,00,000.

Key takeaways

  • The three Indian bands: ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 for 8 to 12 posts with 1 to 4 reels, ₹40,000 to ₹90,000 for 12 to 20 posts with 4 to 8 reels, and ₹70,000 to ₹1,80,000 for full service with shoots and paid social.
  • Our plans are ₹30,000 for 2 platforms with 12 posts and 4 reels, ₹55,000 for 3 platforms with 16 posts, 8 reels and a half day shoot, and ₹1,00,000 for 4 platforms with 20 posts, 12 reels and a full shoot day.
  • Reels set the price. Attribute each of our tier steps entirely to its four extra reels and you get ₹6,250 and ₹11,250 a reel, both upper bounds, and both inside the ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 Indian production band.
  • Twelve reels a month for ₹20,000 does not add up: at the ₹5,000 floor that is ₹60,000 of video before anyone writes a caption.
  • Per deliverable, the middle plan is the cheapest: ₹1,875 a piece on Presence, ₹1,719 on Growth and ₹3,125 on Brand, on our own arithmetic.
  • No setup fee and no minimum term past the first month. Boost budgets of ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 sit in your own ad account, and GST is added for Indian clients.

Two agencies quote you ₹25,000 and ₹60,000 a month for what sounds like the same thing, and neither proposal explains the gap. It is almost always reels. A static post and a 30 second vertical video are priced as if they were the same deliverable in most Indian quotes, and they are not. This guide breaks the market into its three real bands, sets out what our own social media management plans include deliverable by deliverable, and works out what a reel actually costs inside a retainer.

How much does social media management cost in India in 2026?

Three bands, and the number of reels is what moves a business from one to the next. Entry packages with 8 to 12 designed posts and 1 to 4 reels typically cost ₹15,000 to ₹40,000 a month. Mid packages with 12 to 20 posts and 4 to 8 reels run ₹40,000 to ₹90,000. Full service management with shoots, community management and paid social sits between ₹70,000 and ₹1,80,000. Freelancers price below all three.

The three Indian social media management bands in 2026
BandMonthly feeWhat it typically includesWho it suits
Entry₹15,000 to ₹40,0008 to 12 designed posts, 1 to 4 reels, captions and schedulingA business that needs to stop going quiet for three weeks at a time
Mid₹40,000 to ₹90,00012 to 20 posts, 4 to 8 reels, stories, replies to comments and DMsA brand that wants the page to produce enquiries, not just exist
Full service₹70,000 to ₹1,80,000Shoots, community management, creators and managed paid socialA brand running social as a channel with its own budget line
FreelancerBelow all three bandsVaries wildly. Often template design with your logo swapped inA business that can brief and review the work itself, every week

Those are the bands to test any quote against. If a proposal sits in the entry band but promises mid-band reel volume, something in it is not real. The same logic applies to any line in a monthly digital marketing budget: price the production first, then the management fee on top.

What do the three Mediaverse Digital plans include?

Three published plans, priced before the first call. The differences that matter are the number of platforms, the number of reels and whether we shoot the footage or edit yours.

Cost per deliverable (our arithmetic)₹1,875 across 16 pieces₹1,719 across 32 pieces₹3,125 across 32 pieces

That last row is ours, not a published price, and it is the one buyers find most useful. Dividing the fee by the number of pieces makes the middle plan the cheapest per deliverable at ₹1,719, which is usually a surprise. Social Brand costs more per piece because a large part of its fee is not pieces at all: creator coordination, managed paid social, social listening and a dedicated senior strategist.

What is deliberately not in the price

There is no setup fee, because cleaning up bios and Business Suite access is an afternoon of work, and no minimum term beyond the first month. GST is added for Indian clients. Boost and ad budgets are never inside the fee: they are paid by you, directly to the platform, from your own ad account.

Why do reels decide which price band you are in?

Because a reel needs footage, a hook, an edit, captions and sound, which is 3 to 5 times the labour of a static post. Indian production houses typically charge ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 for a single short vertical video. Reels are also the format the platforms push furthest beyond your existing followers, so cutting them cuts the part of the plan that actually grows the account.

You can see the same thing inside our own price list. Each step up the tiers adds exactly four reels, so attribute the whole step to those reels and you get an upper bound on what a reel costs inside a retainer. It is only an upper bound, because each step also adds a platform, four more posts and a good deal else.

What a tier step costs, and the implied ceiling on a reel (our arithmetic)
StepExtra feeWhat the step addsCeiling per extra reel
Presence to Growth₹25,0001 platform, 4 posts, 4 reels, 8 stories, a half day shoot, community management, boost management, fortnightly reporting₹6,250
Growth to Brand₹45,0001 platform, 4 posts, 4 reels, a full shoot day, creator coordination, managed paid social, social listening, senior strategist₹11,250

Both ceilings land inside the ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 band Indian production houses charge for one short vertical video, and the real marginal cost is lower still because the step buys more than reels. That is the sanity check to run on any quote you receive: back the reels out at the production band and see whether the rest of the fee could plausibly pay for the posts, the calendar and the replies.

The ₹20,000 for 12 reels problem

Twelve reels a month at the ₹5,000 floor of the Indian production band is ₹60,000 of video, three times a ₹20,000 monthly fee, before a single caption is written. An agency promising that is either recycling stock footage or not making twelve reels. Ask to see the last three months of a current client’s reels before you sign.

Which plan fits which kind of business?

The honest answer is that two platforms done properly beats five done badly, so start with the plan that matches how much original footage your business can actually generate.

  • Social Presence at ₹30,000 suits a business with a consistent, filmable operation and someone who can shoot on a phone from the shot list we send with each calendar. Two platforms, 12 posts and 4 reels.
  • Social Growth at ₹55,000 suits a brand that wants reels shot for it rather than edited from its own clips. The monthly half day shoot is the real difference, and the plan is the cheapest of the three per deliverable.
  • Social Brand at ₹1,00,000 suits a brand running social as a full channel alongside creators and paid amplification. If your main need is creators rather than calendar, influencer marketing is scoped and priced separately.
  • If what you actually need is lead volume rather than presence, the honest answer is that social management is the wrong line item. Full lead and sales campaigns with funnel structure run under Meta ads management from ₹25,000 a month, with ad spend separate.
  • If your problem is that nobody finds you at all, get found first. Local SEO and your Google Business Profile usually beat a content calendar for a business with no search presence.

What is not included in a social media management fee?

Six things, and every one of them is a common source of an unexpected invoice elsewhere. A management fee that quietly includes ad money is the worst of them, because it hides how much of your budget is actually reaching people.

  • Boost and ad budgets, paid by you directly to Meta, LinkedIn or YouTube from your own ad account. ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 a month is a typical starting range for pushing the best organic posts beyond followers.
  • Creator and influencer fees, which are paid at cost and scoped separately.
  • Photography or video production beyond the shoot days included in your plan.
  • Licensed music, stock footage or paid fonts you approve for specific posts.
  • Travel and local videographer costs for in person shoots outside our city, billed at cost when you ask for them.
  • GST, which is added to the monthly fee for Indian clients.

How do you compare two Indian social media quotes?

Five checks, and they take about ten minutes. Most quotes that look cheap fail the first two.

  1. Are the reels shot or only edited from footage you provide? This is the single largest cost difference between two quotes at the same headline price.
  2. Does the fee include replies to comments and DMs, and inside what hours? Ours are answered between 10am and 7pm IST, Monday to Saturday, with enquiries forwarded to your WhatsApp or CRM within the hour.
  3. When do you see next month’s calendar, and can you reject items in it? Ours reaches you by the 25th and everything approved is designed and scheduled by the 28th.
  4. Does the monthly report name enquiries and link clicks, or only reach and followers? Follower count is the easiest number in marketing to inflate and the least useful.
  5. Whose name are the accounts in? Pages, handles, Business Suite and any ad accounts should be owned by you, with the agency added as an editor. The same rule we apply to WhatsApp API accounts and templates applies here.

One last thing worth saying plainly: nobody can promise you a follower number or an engagement rate before the first month. Consistency shows in 4 to 6 weeks as reach recovers and posts start reaching non followers, enquiries from social usually begin in the second and third month, and the plan should be judged at 90 days on profile visits, link clicks, saves and enquiries. Every price quoted here is on the Mediaverse Digital pricing page, and none of it changes after the first call.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest social media management package worth paying for in India?

Realistically the entry band starts at ₹15,000 a month, but below roughly ₹25,000 you are buying 8 to 12 static posts and almost no reels, which is the part that reaches people who do not already follow you. Our own entry plan is ₹30,000 for 2 platforms, 12 designed posts and 4 reels edited from your footage. Below that band, a freelancer you brief and review weekly is usually a more honest use of the money than a cheap agency retainer.

How much does it cost to produce one reel in India?

Indian production houses typically charge ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 for a single short vertical video. Inside a retainer it costs less, because the shoot is batched: one half day produces 8 reels on our Growth plan and one full day produces 12 on Brand. Attributing an entire tier step to its four extra reels gives a ceiling of ₹6,250 and ₹11,250 a reel on our own price list, and the true marginal cost is below both because the step adds posts and a platform too.

Should a small business hire a freelancer or an agency for social media?

A freelancer costs less and works well if someone at your end can brief, review and chase every week. An agency is worth the difference when you want a calendar you did not have to think about, reels that get made on a schedule, replies inside business hours and a report that names enquiries. The failure mode of cheap agency work is template design with your logo swapped in, so ask for original creative from a current client before you decide.

Is boosted post budget included in the monthly social media fee?

No, and it should not be, because a fee that includes ad money hides how much is actually reaching people. Boost budgets are paid by you directly to the platform from your own ad account, where ₹5,000 to ₹20,000 a month is a typical starting range for pushing the best organic posts beyond followers. Our Growth plan includes managing those boosts and Brand includes managed paid social campaigns, but the spend itself is always yours and always visible to you.

How many posts a week should a business actually publish?

We plan 3 to 4 posts per platform per week rather than daily, because that is the cadence we can hold at quality without recycling. A piece adapted for two platforms counts once, so a reel cut for Instagram, reposted as a YouTube Short and put on LinkedIn is one reel, not three. Daily posting sounds better in a proposal and is the first promise that quietly breaks in month two.

When should a business move from the ₹30,000 plan to the ₹55,000 plan?

When shooting your own footage has become the bottleneck, or when a third platform genuinely has an audience. The ₹25,000 step buys a half day shoot every month, four more reels, eight stories, a third platform and proactive community management, and it is the cheapest of our three plans per deliverable at about ₹1,719 a piece. If the calendar is being filled but the footage is thin, the shoot is what you are actually short of.
