Running a Creator Seeding Campaign at Rs.40,000 in India: Brief, Shortlist and Usage Rights, Week by Week (2026)

Our Creator Seeding plan is Rs.40,000 a campaign plus 15 percent of creator spend, for 5 to 10 nano and micro creators on a creator budget from Rs.50,000. This is how that campaign actually runs: the two briefs, the shortlist, the usage rights in each contract, and the 3 to 4 weeks from approved brief to last post.

Creator Seeding costs Rs.40,000 per campaign plus 15 percent of creator spend, for 5 to 10 nano and micro creators on a creator budget from Rs.50,000, so at least Rs.97,500 before GST. It runs 3 to 4 weeks from approved brief to last post, and every creator signs a contract with 90 days of usage rights.

Key takeaways

  • At the Rs.50,000 creator floor, Creator Seeding is Rs.97,500 before GST by our arithmetic: Rs.40,000 fee, Rs.50,000 of creator fees passed through at cost, Rs.7,500 coordination. That is Rs.9,750 to Rs.19,500 per creator across 5 to 10 creators.
  • Rs.50,000 spread over 5 to 10 creators is Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000 each, which sits in the typical nano band of Rs.2,000 to Rs.10,000 a reel and the bottom of the micro band of Rs.8,000 to Rs.75,000. These are market ranges, not our rate card.
  • The shortlist gives 2 to 3 candidates per slot, so 10 to 30 profiles to choose from, ranked by audience city and age split and average reel views over the last 10 posts, never by follower count.
  • Every seeding contract carries paid and organic usage for 90 days and ASCI disclosure; longer or perpetual rights typically add 20 to 50 percent to a creator fee, and whitelisting is not part of Seeding.
  • Brief and tracking in week 1, shortlist and contracts in week 2, posts 7 to 10 days after signing, wrap report within 10 days of the last post: about 31 to 38 days from approved brief to wrap, by our count.

Rs.40,000 per campaign plus 15 percent of creator spend is the published price of Creator Seeding, the entry tier on our influencer marketing page. It covers 5 to 10 nano and micro creators, the creator budget starts at Rs.50,000 and is passed through at cost, and the page puts the whole run at about 3 to 4 weeks from approved brief to last post. The pricing page adds GST at 18 percent for Indian clients. Our influencer marketing cost guide already works out what each tier costs. This post is the other half: how a Rs.40,000 seeding campaign is actually run, from the brief to the shortlist to the usage rights in each contract. Every price, timeline and creator rate band below is from the influencer page as read on 14 October 2026. Creator rates are typical market ranges published there, not our rate card. The totals, splits and day counts are our arithmetic and marked as ours.

What does a Creator Seeding campaign cost all-in?

Creator Seeding all-in at three creator budgets, before GST (our arithmetic on the published fee and 15 percent)
Creator budget (at cost)15 percent coordinationTotal before GSTOur fees as share of totalPer creator at 10 creatorsPer creator at 5 creators
Rs.50,000 (the floor)Rs.7,500Rs.97,50048.7 percentRs.9,750Rs.19,500
Rs.75,000Rs.11,250Rs.1,26,25040.6 percentRs.12,625Rs.25,250
Rs.1,00,000Rs.15,000Rs.1,55,00035.5 percentRs.15,500Rs.31,000

Two things fall out of that table. First, at the floor our fees are nearly half the bill, which is the honest cost of coordinating 5 to 10 separate creators, contracts and payments; the influencer page puts that work at 40 to 60 hours per campaign. Second, the fee share falls as creator spend rises, so a brand that already knows it wants more than Rs.1,00,000 of creator content should look at Creator Campaign, which starts at Rs.3,30,000 before GST at its own Rs.2,00,000 creator floor. Product samples, shipping and any ad spend sit outside every row above.

What does Rs.50,000 of creator budget buy at typical Indian rates?

Ways to split the Rs.50,000 creator floor, against the typical reel rates published on the influencer page (splits are our illustration)
SplitCreatorsAverage fee eachWhere that lands in the typical bands
All nano10Rs.5,000Middle of the nano band, Rs.2,000 to Rs.10,000 a reel
Mostly nano8Rs.6,250Nano band
Nano plus two micro72 at Rs.12,500 and 5 at Rs.5,000Low end of the micro band, Rs.8,000 to Rs.75,000
All at the top of nano5Rs.10,000Top of the nano band, bottom of the micro band

The page notes that a bundle of one reel plus 3 stories usually costs 20 to 30 percent more than the reel alone. At an average Rs.5,000 reel, that bundle is Rs.6,000 to Rs.6,500, so the same Rs.50,000 buys 7 or 8 bundles instead of 10 reels. Decide in the brief whether stories matter to the goal, because they change the creator count more than any negotiation will.

Market ranges, not our rate card

The nano and micro bands above are the typical Indian reel rates the influencer page publishes. Real fees come from each shortlisted creator's quote, move with niche, city and season, and rise in the fortnight before Diwali. The shortlist shows you the quoted fee next to the audience data before you pick anyone.

What goes into the campaign brief and the creator brief?

A seeding campaign has two briefs, and the influencer page lists what each one holds. The campaign brief is one page you approve before outreach starts. The creator brief is what each creator actually reads, so it has to be short enough to be read.

  • Campaign brief: goal, audience, product, the creator budget split and one success metric, for example coupon redemptions for a D2C product or enquiries for a restaurant or clinic.
  • Creator brief: the hooks to try, a do-not-say list, the disclosure requirement, deadlines and deliverable specs such as one reel, or one reel plus 3 stories.
  • Tracking before outreach: one UTM link and one coupon code per creator, created in week 1, so every click and order in the wrap report is attributed to a person and not to a screenshot.
  • Product logistics: who ships samples and by when. Samples and shipping are on your side of the invoice, and a sample that arrives on day 9 eats the 7 to 10 day shooting window.

If the product is food or a venue, the brief should name the delivery or visit area, because the city split decides the shortlist; our digital marketing for restaurants page covers that local case. A brand that ships across India can relax the city filter and weight the age split instead, which is the usual setup on our ecommerce page.

How is the creator shortlist built?

The page commits to 2 to 3 candidates per slot, so a campaign with 5 to 10 slots puts 10 to 30 creator profiles in front of you in week 2. Each one arrives with the same columns, and you make the final pick.

What each shortlisted creator comes with, per the influencer page
ColumnWhy it is on the sheet
Audience city and age splitA follower base concentrated in the wrong cities is the most common reason a cheap creator is expensive
Average reel views over the last 10 postsReplaces follower count as the ranking number; followers are recorded but never used to rank
Engagement qualityComment quality and whether the creator answers comments personally
Past brand workHow often the creator posts brand content and whether any was in your category
Quoted feeNegotiated against the published market ranges, then shown as the agreed fee per creator

A useful habit at this stage, and our suggestion rather than a published rule: divide each quoted fee by the creator's average reel views. That gives an expected cost per view before anyone posts, which the wrap report later replaces with the real number. Two creators with the same Rs.8,000 quote can differ several times over on that ratio.

What usage rights should a seeding contract carry?

No creator goes live without a signed contract on file. The influencer page lists what each contract covers: deliverables, posting dates, exclusivity, usage rights and disclosure. On Seeding, this is the part that turns a set of creator posts into content your brand can keep using.

Usage rights on a Creator Seeding contract, per the influencer page (read 14 October 2026)
RightOn Creator SeedingCost or condition to extend
Organic reposting on your own accountsIncluded for 90 days in the standard contractLonger terms negotiated per creator
Paid usage of the files in your own adsIncluded for 90 days in the standard contractLonger or perpetual rights typically add 20 to 50 percent to the creator fee
Whitelisting (ads run with the creator's handle)Not includedPart of Creator Campaign and Always-On
ExclusivityWritten into each contractNo published price; agreed per creator
DisclosurePaid partnership label and #ad or #collab under ASCI guidelinesNot optional on any tier

On a Rs.10,000 creator fee, the page's 20 to 50 percent range means Rs.2,000 to Rs.5,000 more for longer rights, our arithmetic. For a seeding campaign the 90 days is usually enough to find out which two or three pieces deserve ad money. That ad money is not in the plan: the influencer page lists paid amplification as budget you pay directly to Meta or YouTube from your own account, which our Meta ads management page covers separately.

What does the 3 to 4 week timeline look like, week by week?

A Creator Seeding run from approved brief to wrap report, from the influencer page process (day counts are our arithmetic)
WhenWhat happensWhat you do
Week 1Campaign brief, creator brief, budget split, UTM links and coupon codes readyApprove the brief; get samples ready to ship
Week 2Shortlist with audience data and quotes; contracts issued to your picksPick from 2 to 3 candidates per slot
Weeks 3 to 4Creators shoot and post within 7 to 10 days of signing; each draft reviewed once against the brief, claims and disclosureAnswer revision requests within the window
As each post goes liveViews, saves and shares recorded from creator insights within 48 hours; payment released only after the post is live and verifiedWatch coupon and UTM numbers
Within 10 days of the last postWrap report: per-creator reach, views, saves, clicks, coupon redemptions, cost per view and cost per order or lead, plus a rebook listDecide who to rebook and which posts get ad money

Add the 10-day wrap window to the 3 to 4 weeks and the whole run is about 31 to 38 days from approved brief to wrap report, by our count. The page also says to start 8 weeks out for festival or launch windows, because good creators book up and rates rise in the last fortnight before Diwali. For a Diwali-dated seeding, that means the brief is approved roughly a month before the 3 to 4 week clock even needs to start.

Is free-product seeding cheaper than a paid seeding campaign?

Only for cheap products and very small creators. The influencer page tells brands to plan for 30 to 50 percent of barter creators posting late or not at all, and recommends a paid fee with a contract for anything above Rs.1,000 in product value or any creator above 10,000 followers. By our arithmetic, seeding 10 creators on barter should be planned as 5 to 7 on-time posts, with no usage rights and no tracking unless someone adds them. The full barter comparison is in our influencer marketing cost guide.

How do you read the wrap report and decide what to rebook?

Load each creator with their share of the fees before judging them. At the Rs.50,000 floor with 5 creators at Rs.10,000 each, one creator carries Rs.10,000 of fee, Rs.1,500 of coordination and Rs.8,000 of the campaign fee: Rs.19,500, our arithmetic. Divide that by the creator's coupon orders or enquiries and you have a fully loaded cost per result to set next to what your paid social is paying. The page says the wrap report makes that comparison against Meta ads for every creator.

  • Rebook: creators whose cost per order or lead beats your paid benchmark, or whose views per rupee clearly lead the group.
  • Run as ads: the one to three posts with the best hook, inside the 90-day paid usage window, from your own ad account.
  • Repurpose: strong posts can feed the organic calendar too; our reels production calendar for the Rs.30,000 social media plan shows where outside footage fits.
  • Drop: creators who missed dates or the brief. The page says an underdelivering creator's fee is withheld until the deliverable is fixed, and the report says so.

Which published figures need care when you plan the campaign?

  • GST: the influencer page adds GST to the campaign fee for Indian clients; it does not spell out GST on the 15 percent coordination line, so ask for it on the written quote.
  • Usage terms: the deliverables list says paid and organic rights for 90 days or longer, while the FAQ calls 90 days the standard and prices longer rights at 20 to 50 percent extra. Read it as 90 days unless the contract says otherwise.
  • Timeline: the 5-step process runs to weeks 4 to 6 for posts going live, while Creator Seeding is quoted at 3 to 4 weeks to the last post; the longer range fits Creator Campaign, which the page puts at 5 to 7 weeks.
  • The 30 to 50 percent barter no-show figure is the page's planning assumption, not a published study.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Creator Seeding campaign run with fewer than 5 creators?

The published tier is scoped for 5 to 10 nano and micro creators, and the page lists no smaller campaign. The fee does not shrink with the creator count either: Rs.40,000 plus 15 percent of a creator budget that starts at Rs.50,000. With only 3 creators, by our arithmetic each one would carry over Rs.13,000 of campaign fee before their own fee, which is why we would rather widen the shortlist than narrow the campaign.

Who can use the content after a seeding campaign ends?

You can, within the contract. Each Creator Seeding contract carries organic reposting and paid usage for 90 days, and the influencer page says longer or perpetual rights are negotiated per creator and typically add 20 to 50 percent to the fee. The creator keeps the post on their own profile. Whitelisting, where ads run under the creator's handle from your ad account, is not part of Seeding; it starts on Creator Campaign.

Can creator seeding posts be run as Meta ads?

Yes, as your own ads, inside the 90 days of paid usage in each standard contract. The ad budget is not part of the plan: the influencer page lists paid amplification as money you pay directly to Meta or YouTube from your own account. Running the posts under the creator's handle needs whitelisting permissions, which the page includes only on Creator Campaign and the Always-On retainer.

How early should a festival seeding campaign start?

Eight weeks before the window, per the influencer page, because good creators book up and their rates rise in the final fortnight before Diwali. The campaign itself takes 3 to 4 weeks from approved brief to last post, and the wrap report follows within 10 days. Starting 8 weeks out leaves room to ship samples, negotiate before rates move and still have posts live before the sale days.

Are creator fees marked up on Creator Seeding?

No. The influencer page commits to invoicing creator fees at the amount each creator was paid, with the 15 percent coordination fee shown as a separate line. On the Rs.50,000 creator floor that line is Rs.7,500. Payments are released to creators only after the deliverable is live and verified against the brief, and the shortlist shows each creator's quoted fee before you pick them.

What happens if a creator posts late or ignores the brief?

Each draft is reviewed once against the brief, claims and disclosure, and revisions are requested once, in writing. Payment is released only after the post is live and verified, and the page says that if a creator underdelivers, the wrap report states it and the fee is withheld until the deliverable is fixed. Late posts also show up in the rebook list as creators to drop.

When should a brand move from Creator Seeding to Creator Campaign?

When it needs more than 10 creators, mid-tier creators, whitelisted ads or the repurposing pack, none of which Seeding includes. Creator Campaign is Rs.1,00,000 plus 15 percent for 15 to 30 creators on a creator budget from Rs.2,00,000, so Rs.3,30,000 before GST at its floor by our arithmetic. A good seeding wrap report, with a short rebook list, is the usual brief for that second campaign.
