"Minimum Booking: 1 day per van." That line on our national mobile van page is the shortest commitment any outdoor format on our cards allows, and in Bangalore it costs Rs.3,000 before GST for a T-Shape van. At the other end, 300 auto hoods cost Rs.1,95,000, or Rs.2,30,100 with 18 percent GST. Between them sit four more floors, all read from the five live Bangalore service pages on 6 October 2026: one 4 by 2 ft shop name board from Rs.680, 1,000 no-parking boards at Rs.45,000, 50,000 A5 newspaper inserts at Rs.62,500 and 500 auto back panels at Rs.85,000. This post puts all six in one table with GST added, then asks what each floor actually covers in Bangalore, using the denominators those same pages publish.
What is the smallest order in each outdoor format in Bangalore?
The smallest bookable order per format in Bangalore, before and after 18 percent GST (pages read 6 October 2026)
| Format | Smallest order | Before GST | With 18% GST | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shop name board | One 4 by 2 ft board (8 sq ft), non-lit flex | Rs.680 to Rs.1,200 | Rs.802 to Rs.1,416 | |
| Mobile van | 1 T-Shape van for 1 day | Rs.3,000 | Rs.3,540 | |
| No-parking boards | 1,000 boards at Rs.45 | Rs.45,000 | Rs.53,100 | |
| Newspaper insertion | 50,000 A5 inserts at Rs.1.25 | Rs.62,500 | Rs.73,750 | |
| Auto back panel | 500 autos, 24 by 6 inch, at Rs.170 | Rs.85,000 | Rs.1,00,300 | |
| Auto hood | 300 autos at Rs.650 | Rs.1,95,000 | Rs.2,30,100 |
Rates and minimums from the live Bangalore pages for shop name boards, mobile vans, no-parking boards, newspaper insertion and auto branding, plus the 1-day minimum from the national mobile van page. GST figures are our arithmetic at 18 percent. The shop board page publishes no minimum size; 4 by 2 ft is the typical board its pricing table prices. The auto page notes that some areas charge an auto-union fee, billed extra.
Every format except one is priced as a quantity floor. The van is the exception: it is priced by the day, so its floor is one day. The shop board is a fixture rather than a campaign, but it is still the cheapest thing on any Bangalore card, and its price scales with the material: the same 8 sq ft board is Rs.2,080 to Rs.3,600 as a GSB glow sign and Rs.5,520 to Rs.7,600 in ACP. The van floor scales the same way, Rs.3,500 a day for an L-Shape and Rs.9,000 for an LED truck.
The inserts have a second price inside the floor. The Bangalore page prices A5 at Rs.1.25 and Rs.1.15 above 50,000, A4 at Rs.1.70 and Rs.1.50 above 50,000. An order of exactly 50,000 pays the higher rate, so the A4 floor is Rs.85,000, the same money as the back panel floor, and Rs.1,00,300 with GST.
Which Bangalore formats can you start for under Rs.1 lakh?
Four. With GST added, the shop board, the van, the no-parking boards and the A5 inserts all start below Rs.1,00,000. The back panel floor lands at Rs.1,00,300, Rs.300 over, and the hood floor is more than twice the line. For a buyer with exactly Rs.1 lakh, that leaves four different kinds of purchase: one permanent sign at the shop, a van for up to 28 days at Rs.3,540 a landed day, 1,000 gate boards that stay up, or one morning's delivery into 50,000 homes.
What Rs.1,00,000 landed buys at each Bangalore floor, on our arithmetic
| Format | Quantity at the floor rate | Left over from Rs.1,00,000 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| T-Shape van at Rs.3,540 a day with GST | 28 van days | Rs.880 | |
| No-parking boards at Rs.45 plus GST | 1,883 boards | About Rs.13 | |
| A5 inserts at Rs.1.25 plus GST | 67,796 inserts, though above 50,000 the page's Rs.1.15 rate would apply | Depends on the slab applied | |
| Auto back panels at Rs.170 plus GST | None: the 500-panel floor is Rs.1,00,300 | Rs.300 short | |
| Auto hoods at Rs.650 plus GST | None: the 300-hood floor is Rs.2,30,100 | Rs.1,30,100 short |
Our arithmetic at 18 percent GST on the Bangalore page rates. Boards above 1,000 stay at Rs.45 until 5,000, where the page drops the rate to Rs.35. Inserts above 50,000 are priced at Rs.1.15 for A5 on the page, which would buy more copies than the figure shown; ask for the slab in writing.
What does each minimum actually cover in Bangalore?
A floor price means little without a denominator, and the five Bangalore pages publish some. The auto page gives the fleet as 1,10,000 plus registered autos across 18 zones and names three residential zones with their own auto counts: about 400 in BTM Layout, over 1,000 in the Marathahalli, Bellandur and Sarjapur pocket, and over 1,500 in the JP Nagar, Banashankari and Jayanagar triangle. The insertion page says inserts reach 3 to 5 lakh households. The no-parking page names localities but gives no count of gates or societies.
Each Bangalore minimum against the denominators its own page publishes (our arithmetic)
| Minimum | Against the citywide figure | Against a named zone | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 300 hoods | 0.27 percent of 1,10,000 autos | 75 percent of BTM's 400; 30 percent of the Marathahalli pocket's 1,000; 20 percent of JP Nagar's 1,500 | |
| 500 back panels | 0.45 percent of 1,10,000 autos | 1.25 times BTM's 400; half the Marathahalli pocket; a third of JP Nagar | |
| 50,000 A5 inserts | 10 to 16.7 percent of 3 to 5 lakh households | The page names zones but publishes no per-zone household counts | |
| 1,000 no-parking boards | No gate count published | No count published for Whitefield, HSR or any named locality | |
| 1 van day | One vehicle; the page's three-junction package is three vans at Rs.10,500 a day | Not a share of anything: a van is bought by route and time | |
| One shop board | One shopfront | Not applicable |
Fleet, zone auto counts and household reach as published on the live Bangalore auto branding and newspaper insertion pages on 6 October 2026. Shares are our arithmetic. The auto counts are the page's own estimates for each zone, not a registration count.
The auto rows are the useful surprise. Citywide, a hood minimum is a rounding error on a 1,10,000-auto fleet. Inside one named zone it is most of the fleet: 300 hoods are three quarters of BTM's 400, and a 500-panel order is more autos than the page says circulate there at all, so a back panel floor must span at least two of the page's zones. The page's own planning unit says the same thing from the other side: it describes 20 branded autos inside a 2 km pocket as the point where residents start noticing, which makes the 300-hood floor 15 such pockets and the 500-panel floor 25.
How long does each minimum keep working?
The floor buys different amounts of time. The auto page says hood covers typically run 6 to 12 months and back panel stickers 4 to 6 months, and it offers replacement of damaged branding within 48 hours with monthly field audits. Spread over that life, a hood floor works out to Rs.16,250 to Rs.32,500 a month before GST and a back panel floor to Rs.14,167 to Rs.21,250, on our arithmetic. The shop board page gives 12 to 18 months for flex, 3 to 5 years for a glow sign and 5 plus years for ACP. An insert is delivered on one morning. A van day ends at the end of the day.
Published life and lead time for each Bangalore floor
| Format | Published life | Published lead time | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Auto hood | 6 to 12 months | 48 hours for the first batch, 5 to 7 days for 100 plus autos | |
| Auto back panel | 4 to 6 months | Same as hoods on the Bangalore page | |
| Newspaper insert | Delivered on one morning | 7 to 10 days from approval | |
| No-parking board | Not published on the Bangalore page | Not published; tech-corridor installs go up on weekdays, 10 AM to 4 PM | |
| Mobile van | The booked days only | 48 hours from artwork approval (48 to 72 hours in one section) | |
| Shop name board, non-lit | 12 to 18 months | 3 days (5 days for GSB and ACP) |
Life and lead times as stated on the live Bangalore pages on 6 October 2026. None of the life figures is a guaranteed service life.
When is each floor the right first purchase?
The shop board wins when the customer has to find the door. It is the only floor under Rs.1,000, it lasts longer than any campaign format, and it is the one outdoor spend every walk-in business needs anyway. The Bangalore page applies the Kannada rule to every board, commonly read as Kannada taking the dominant 60 percent share, so the layout is part of the price.
The van wins when there is a date. A store opening, a college fest or a launch weekend needs presence on named days and nothing after, and a T-Shape day is Rs.3,540 landed with design, BBMP permits, GPS and daily photo reports inside the Bangalore rate.
The no-parking floor wins for a neighbourhood business that wants to stay visible. At Rs.53,100 landed it is the cheapest standing campaign on the Bangalore cards, all-inclusive with gate-owner permission and installation and no monthly rental, and it can be planned locality by locality. Inserts win when the goal is every household in a set of zones on one morning, with an offer or a menu that works at a glance. Back panels win when a business wants autos rather than gates and can stretch to Rs.1,00,300. Hoods win when the budget clears Rs.2,30,100 and the business wants the most visible format for the longest published life.
Which figures on the Bangalore pages do not reconcile?
Three are worth naming before you plan on them. The insertion page says inserts reach 3 to 5 lakh households in most places and 3 to 5 lakh daily newspaper copies in one; copies and households are not the same count. The van page says its three-junction package reaches 50 percent of the city's IT commuters in several places and that the same three junctions carry roughly 60 percent of IT commuter traffic in another, with no published source for either figure. And the auto page quotes 48 hours for a first batch while the smallest order it accepts is 300 hoods or 500 panels, and its own planning advice works in clusters of 20 to 50 autos, well below either minimum.
None of these changes the floor prices, which are consistent across each page. They change what you can expect for the money, so ask for the delivery report format, the zone split and the slab rate in writing before you pay.
Our recommendation for a first Bangalore campaign
Start with 1,000 no-parking boards at Rs.53,100 if the business serves a few localities and wants to be seen every day; it is the cheapest floor that keeps working after the money is spent. Add a van day for the launch date if there is one. Move to back panels at Rs.1,00,300 once you want to follow residents beyond their gate, and to hoods only when Rs.2,30,100 is a comfortable test rather than the whole budget. For a citywide or multi-city view of the same floors, see our ten-city minimums post; for why a van is the only format you can book for a single day, see our one-day campaign post.
What should you ask before booking any Bangalore minimum?
Six questions settle most of it: which of the six floors your budget clears once 18 percent GST is added; whether the order sits exactly on a slab edge, as 50,000 inserts and 500 panels do; which zones or localities the order will be split across, and how many units each gets; whether an auto-union fee applies in those areas; what the delivery proof will be, from GPS van reports to proof-of-insertion; and how long the format keeps working after the last payment.
What is the cheapest outdoor advertising in Bangalore?
On our Bangalore cards, one non-lit 4 by 2 ft shop name board is the cheapest purchase at Rs.680 to Rs.1,200 before GST. The cheapest campaign format is one T-Shape van for one day at Rs.3,000, or Rs.3,540 with GST. The cheapest standing campaign is 1,000 no-parking boards at Rs.45 each, Rs.45,000, or Rs.53,100 with 18 percent GST, with no monthly rental.
What is the minimum order for auto branding in Bangalore?
300 autos for hood branding at Rs.650 each, Rs.1,95,000, or 500 autos for back panels at Rs.170 each, Rs.85,000. Both are one-time prices including print and installation, with 18 percent GST extra, which makes them Rs.2,30,100 and Rs.1,00,300. The Bangalore page adds that some areas charge an auto-union fee, billed separately.
How many newspaper inserts is the minimum in Bangalore, and what does it cost?
50,000 inserts. At the Bangalore page's rates that is Rs.62,500 for A5 at Rs.1.25, Rs.85,000 for A4 at Rs.1.70 and Rs.1,10,000 for the A2 poster at Rs.2.20, before 18 percent GST. The lower rates of Rs.1.15, Rs.1.50 and Rs.2.00 apply only above 50,000, and the page quotes 7 to 10 days from approval.
Can I book a mobile van in Bangalore for one day?
Yes. Our national van page lists the minimum booking as 1 day per van, and the Bangalore page prices a T-Shape van at Rs.3,000 a day, an L-Shape at Rs.3,500 and an LED truck at Rs.9,000, with design, BBMP permits, GPS tracking and daily photo reports included. Add 18 percent GST. Vans go live 48 hours after artwork approval.
Which Bangalore minimum covers the largest share of its audience?
The auto minimums inside a single zone. The Bangalore page counts about 400 autos in BTM Layout, so 300 hoods are three quarters of that zone and 500 back panels are more than it holds. Citywide the same orders are 0.27 and 0.45 percent of 1,10,000 autos. The 50,000-insert minimum is 10 to 16.7 percent of the households the insertion page cites.

Quick Answers
What is the smallest outdoor advertising order in Bangalore for each format?
On our Bangalore pages, before 18 percent GST: one 4 by 2 ft non-lit shop board from Rs.680, one T-Shape van for one day at Rs.3,000, 1,000 no-parking boards at Rs.45,000, 50,000 A5 inserts at Rs.62,500, 500 auto back panels at Rs.85,000 and 300 auto hoods at Rs.1,95,000. With GST those land at Rs.802, Rs.3,540, Rs.53,100, Rs.73,750, Rs.1,00,300 and Rs.2,30,100.
Which outdoor formats can I start in Bangalore for under Rs.1 lakh?
Four, once 18 percent GST is added: a shop name board, a mobile van booked by the day, 1,000 no-parking boards at Rs.53,100 landed, and 50,000 A5 newspaper inserts at Rs.73,750 landed. The 500 auto back panel minimum lands at Rs.1,00,300, Rs.300 over the line, and the 300-hood minimum at Rs.2,30,100. Rs.1 lakh buys 28 landed T-Shape van days.
What share of Bangalore's autos does the minimum auto branding order cover?
Citywide, very little: 300 hoods are 0.27 percent and 500 back panels 0.45 percent of the 1,10,000 autos our Bangalore page counts, on our arithmetic. Inside one zone the picture flips. The page counts about 400 autos in BTM Layout, so 300 hoods are three quarters of that zone, and 500 panels must be spread across at least two of the page's named zones.
