Suppression vs Removal: What the Rs.45,000 Reputation Repair Plan Can and Cannot Do (2026)

Which negative results can actually be taken down, which ones only move to page two, what six months of our published Rs.45,000 Repair plan buys against each, and the limits of both routes said plainly.

Removal and suppression fix different results. Removal works only for policy-breaking reviews, fake profiles, copyright breaches and content under a court order. A genuine review, a news article or a forum thread has to be outranked instead, which is our Rs.45,000 a month Reputation Repair plan: 6 assets a month, a 6-month minimum, Rs.2,70,000 before GST.

Key takeaways

  • Removable, on our reputation page: policy-breaking reviews, fake profiles and doxxing, copyright breaches, and content under a court order. Not removable: genuine reviews, news coverage, forum threads and employee review sites. Those can only be outranked.
  • Reputation Repair is Rs.45,000 a month with a 6-month minimum: Rs.2,70,000 before GST, or Rs.3,18,600 with 18 percent GST, for 10 monitored phrases, 4 suppression articles and 2 profile or PR placements a month, 36 assets over the minimum on our arithmetic.
  • The page puts suppression at 4 to 9 months to page two: 3 to 4 months for a weak result on a brand with a footprint, 9 months or longer for a major news article on a thin name. The minimum is 6 months either way.
  • A first year on the step-down path the page describes, 6 months of Repair then 6 of Monitor at Rs.20,000, is Rs.3,90,000 before GST. Nine months of Repair then 3 of Monitor is Rs.4,65,000.
  • Suppression never deletes anything: the result is still there on page two, for an unmonitored phrase and for anyone who searches the article's own title. AI assistants have no page two, which is why Repair also monitors what they say.
  • Removal has its own limits: platforms decide reports, court orders take months, and legal fees and paid placements sit outside every plan.

Most people who call about a bad result for their name ask the same first question: can you get it taken down? Sometimes the answer is yes, and it is worth knowing exactly when, because a takedown is cheap and final. Most of the time the answer is no, and the work becomes suppression: building enough legitimate results that the negative one slides to page two. Our online reputation management page sells the second as Reputation Repair at Rs.45,000 a month with a 6-month minimum, Rs.2,70,000 before GST at the least, and runs the first alongside it as a takedown track for the results that qualify. Our ORM cost guide covers what each of the three plans costs. This comparison does a narrower job: it sorts the negative results people actually bring into the right route, shows what the Repair minimum buys against each, and says plainly what neither route can do. Every card line is from the live page read on 31 October 2026; the sorting, the totals and the per-asset figures are our arithmetic.

Which negative results can be removed, and which can only be suppressed?

The page draws the line in one sentence each way. Removable: policy-violating reviews, fake profiles, copyright breaches and content under a court order. Not removable: genuine reviews, news coverage, forums and employee review sites. The table applies that line to nine results we see brought to an audit, with the route the page assigns each one and what it costs to act on.

Two readings. First, a large share of what feels like a reputation problem is a review problem, and a review problem is not a Repair purchase. A run of genuine one-star reviews is handled by answering and by volume, which is the Rs.20,000 Monitor plan and the sequence in our 72-hour bad review playbook. Second, the removable rows are mostly fast and cheap to act on but are decided by someone else: the platform, the host or the court. Nothing on the page promises an outcome for a report, and the only description it gives of success is that policy-breaking reviews are removed a reasonable share of the time when the report is specific. We publish no removal rate and neither does the page.

What does the Rs.45,000 Repair plan buy over its 6-month minimum?

The Repair card lists everything in Monitor for 10 phrases instead of 5, 4 suppression articles a month, 2 profile or PR placements a month, knowledge panel hygiene, takedown and legal-notice coordination and a fortnightly report instead of a monthly one. The table turns that into quantities over the minimum and over the 9-month end of the page's range.

The step up from Monitor to Repair is Rs.25,000 a month, Rs.1,50,000 over the minimum before GST, and that difference is what suppression and the takedown track cost on our card. Read across the whole fee, the minimum works out at Rs.7,500 per published asset, though the fee also carries the monitoring, the review replies and the reports. The assets are the kind the page names: profile pages, interviews, articles, press placements and structured company pages, each one a legitimate, useful result. If a placement needs a paid or sponsored slot in a publication, the page bills it at cost with your approval and outside the fee. The articles themselves are close to the researched work priced on our content marketing page, which is why a brand already paying for content should ask in the audit how much of that output can be pointed at the monitored phrases.

A count the page gives three ways

Suppression volume appears on the reputation page as 4 to 8 assets a month in the deliverables list and the FAQ, as 2 to 8 new assets a month in the cost section, and as 4 articles plus 2 placements, so 6, on the Repair card. The card is the purchase, so this guide uses 6; the 8 matches the Protect plan's 8 content assets plus digital PR at Rs.90,000. Ask the scope document to state the monthly number.

How long does suppression take compared with removal?

Removal, when it applies, is decided in the platform's own timescale, and for a defamation order the page says the Indian legal process is measured in months. Suppression has a published range, and the page is unusually specific about what moves each end of it.

Time to page two on our reputation page, and what 6 months of Repair costs in each case (the minimum applies whatever the timeline)
Situation the page describesTime to page twoRepair months you pay forRepair cost before GST
Weak negative result on a brand with an existing footprint3 to 4 months6, the minimumRs.2,70,000
Typical repair4 to 9 months6 to 9Rs.2,70,000 to Rs.4,05,000
Major news article on a name with few other results9 months or longer9 or moreRs.4,05,000 and up
Anyone quoting a 30-day fix for a page-one news articleNot real, in the page's wordsNoneWalk away

The first row is the uncomfortable one. A weak result can move in 3 to 4 months, and the minimum is still 6. The page's reason is that suppression content takes months to be indexed, gain authority and outrank an established result, and that stopping at month 2 wastes what was paid for months 1 and 2; six months is the shortest period in which most repair work shows clear movement in the phrase-by-phrase report. The honest way to read it is that the last months of a fast repair are buying stability, the result moving down and staying down, not more movement.

What does a first year cost if Repair steps down to Monitor?

The page describes Repair as a project with an end, not a permanent retainer, and says most clients either step down to Monitor or extend for the phrases that still need work at the 6-month review. Monitor is Rs.20,000 a month, month to month. Two first-year paths, on our arithmetic:

Two first-year paths built from the published Repair and Monitor prices (our arithmetic)
PathMonths of RepairMonths of MonitorYear before GSTYear with 18 percent GST
Repair ends at the 6-month review6 at Rs.45,0006 at Rs.20,000Rs.3,90,000Rs.4,60,200
Repair runs to the 9-month end9 at Rs.45,0003 at Rs.20,000Rs.4,65,000Rs.5,48,700

The gap between the two paths is Rs.75,000 before GST, and it is decided by the strength of the negative result and the thinness of your existing footprint, which the audit maps before you pay. The audit covers page one and two for your phrases, every review platform you appear on and what AI assistants say, written up within 5 working days.

What can suppression not do?

  • It does not delete the result. The negative page still exists, on page two for the phrases being worked, and on page one for anyone who searches the article's own headline or the complaint site by name.
  • It does not cover phrases nobody monitors. Repair watches 10. A result that ranks for a product name or a branch that is not on the list is not being pushed down.
  • It does not end at page two in an AI answer. The page says it plainly: an assistant summarises from whatever sources are loudest and there is no page two in that answer. Repair adds a monthly check of what the main assistants say and which sources they cite, and the entity work that changes it, but it does not promise the answer.
  • It does not stop a new negative result. Weekly monitoring spots one the week it appears; it does not prevent it.
  • It is not fast. The page's floor is 3 to 4 months for a weak result, and it calls any 30-day promise for a page-one news article either a platform-rule violation or a quote from someone who has not looked at the result.

What can removal not do?

  • It cannot touch a genuine review, a news report, a forum thread or an employee review. The page calls those protected speech or platform policy, and says they will not be taken down.
  • It cannot guarantee a platform's decision. The agency files a specific report; the platform rules on it.
  • It cannot shortcut a court. Defamation removal in India runs through a legal process measured in months, which the page coordinates with your lawyer rather than pretends to skip.
  • It is not included in the fee when lawyers are involved. Legal fees for defamation notices, court orders or counsel are paid to your lawyer directly, on the page's not-included list.
  • It cannot be faked. The page refuses fake takedown claims on every plan, alongside fake reviews, review swaps and paid positive reviews.

The audit question that decides the purchase

Before any plan, ask the audit to put every page-one result for your name into one of three columns: removable, outrank, or leave alone. If everything negative is removable or is a genuine review, Repair is the wrong purchase. If one result is a news article or a forum thread, Repair is the only honest one, and the 6-month minimum is the floor. The founder note on the page commits to saying so in the audit, before you pay.

Which plan fits which result?

Policy-breaking reviews and a steady stream of genuine ones belong on Monitor at Rs.20,000, often beside our local SEO service at Rs.15,000 a month, since review count and score sit inside the same Google Business Profile work. A page-one news article, a forum thread or a thin footprint around a founder's name belongs on Repair at Rs.45,000 for at least 6 months. Groups, hospitals and developers whose executives are searched as often as the brand sit on Protect at Rs.90,000, which adds 20 phrases, 8 content assets plus digital PR and a 4-hour crisis window. Healthcare clients get Practo monitoring and replies that never disclose patient details, as set out on our healthcare marketing page. If the worry is mostly what ChatGPT or Gemini says about you rather than what Google lists, read our AI search optimization page alongside Repair. Every price above is on our pricing page, plus 18 percent GST for Indian clients.

Frequently asked questions

Can a genuine negative Google review be removed?

No. Our reputation management page lists genuine reviews among the results that will not be taken down, alongside news coverage, forum threads and employee review sites. A review can be reported only if it breaks the platform's policy, for example spam, a conflict of interest, off-topic content or a reviewer who was never a customer, and those are removed a reasonable share of the time when the report is specific. A genuine review is answered within 24 hours on the Rs.20,000 Monitor plan and outweighed by real reviews over the 6 to 8 weeks the page quotes.

How much does six months of reputation suppression cost?

On our published card, Reputation Repair is Rs.45,000 a month with a 6-month minimum, so Rs.2,70,000 before GST, or Rs.3,18,600 with 18 percent GST added. That buys 10 monitored phrases, 4 suppression articles and 2 profile or PR placements a month, 36 assets over the minimum on our arithmetic, plus knowledge panel hygiene, takedown coordination and a fortnightly report. Paid or sponsored placements in publications are billed at cost with your approval, and legal fees go to your lawyer, both outside the fee.

Does suppression make a negative article disappear?

No. Suppression moves the result to page two for the phrases being worked, where few people look, but the article still exists. Anyone who searches its headline or the publication by name can still find it, and a phrase outside the 10 that Repair monitors is not being worked. AI assistants have no page two at all, which is why Repair also records each month what the main assistants say and which sources they cite. The page's honest description is that the result slides down and stays down, not that it is gone.

Why pay for 6 months if a weak result can move in 3 to 4?

Because the page sets the minimum by what most repair work needs, not by the best case. It gives 3 to 4 months for a weak result on a brand with an existing footprint, 4 to 9 months as the typical range and 9 months or longer for a major news article on a thin name, and says suppression content takes months to be indexed, gain authority and outrank an established result. In a fast case, months 4 to 6 hold the result down. At the 6-month review most clients step down to Monitor at Rs.20,000.

Can defamatory content be removed in India, and what does it cost?

Yes, with a court order, and the page says that in India it is a legal process measured in months. Our Repair plan drafts defamation notices for your lawyer and handles court-order removal once a judgment exists, as part of its takedown and legal-notice coordination. The legal fees for notices, the court order and counsel are paid to your lawyer directly and sit on the page's not-included list, so they are not part of the Rs.45,000. Suppression usually runs alongside, because the case takes longer than the content does.
