Amazon PPC in the First 90 Days: The Week-by-Week Plan, and Why a Catalogue Needs Rs.75,000 a Month to Learn (2026)

Rs.75,000 a month across 25 products is Rs.100 per product per day. Below that, the search-term report has too little in it to act on. The schedule, the bill and the three checkpoints for a new Amazon account.

Plan on Rs.75,000 a month of ad spend for a 20 to 25 product catalogue and judge it at day 90. Campaigns go live within 10 working days of console access, ACoS usually improves in weeks 4 to 6, and organic rank moves in weeks 6 to 12. On our Starter tier, 90 days cost Rs.3,31,200 with GST.

Key takeaways

  • Our marketplace page puts the honest minimum at about Rs.75,000 a month of ad spend for a catalogue of 20 to 25 ASINs. Across 25 products that is Rs.3,000 each a month, or Rs.100 per product per day, on our arithmetic.
  • A single hero product can be tested on Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000 a month, but the page says organic rank rarely moves at that level. Rs.25,000 spread over 25 products is about Rs.33 per product per day.
  • The published timeline: audit in 3 to 5 working days, campaigns live within 10 working days of console access, ACoS improving in weeks 4 to 6, organic rank moving in weeks 6 to 12, TACoS trending down from month 3.
  • 90 days on the Rs.30,000 Starter tier at Rs.75,000 of monthly spend: Rs.1,06,200 of fees with GST plus Rs.2,25,000 paid to Amazon, Rs.3,31,200 in all, on our arithmetic.
  • Starter covers one marketplace, 25 ASINs and up to Rs.2,00,000 of monthly spend. A 26th ASIN or Flipkart alongside Amazon moves the account to the Rs.55,000 Growth tier.

Most Amazon ad accounts are judged too early and funded too thinly, and the two mistakes feed each other. Our Amazon and marketplace advertising page puts the honest minimum at around Rs.75,000 a month of ad spend for a catalogue to learn, and tells sellers to judge the account at day 90, not day 30. This playbook works through what happens between those two numbers: the published timeline from console access to the day-90 review, why Rs.75,000 is the floor for a 20 to 25 product catalogue, what the first 90 days cost on our Rs.30,000 Starter tier, and when Starter is the wrong place to begin. The fee bands across the Indian market are already set out in our Amazon PPC management cost guide, so this post stays on the first quarter. Every rate and timeline below was read from the live marketplace page on 4 November 2026; every division is ours and labelled as ours.

Why does a 25-product Amazon catalogue need Rs.75,000 a month to learn?

Because the weekly work runs on the search-term report, and the report only says something when each product has bought enough clicks to show which searches convert. The page's reasoning is that below Rs.75,000, a 25-ASIN account spreads bids too thin for the reports to produce enough data to harvest, and the seller pays a management fee to watch noise. It publishes no click price for Amazon, so we do not convert the budget into clicks here. What we can show is how fast the money thins out once it is divided across a catalogue.

Monthly ad spend divided across the catalogue (budgets from our marketplace page, read 4 November 2026; division ours, 30-day month)
Monthly ad spendProducts sharing itPer product a monthPer product a dayWhat the page says about this level
Rs.25,0001 hero ASINRs.25,000about Rs.833Enough to test one product; organic rank rarely moves
Rs.40,0001 hero ASINRs.40,000about Rs.1,333Top of the single-product test band
Rs.25,00025 ASINsRs.1,000about Rs.33Below the floor: too thin to harvest
Rs.75,00025 ASINsRs.3,000Rs.100The honest minimum for a catalogue

Rs.2,00,00025 ASINsRs.8,000about Rs.267The Starter tier's spend cap

The table makes the page's two rules one rule. A seller with Rs.25,000 to spend has a choice: put it behind one product, where it is about Rs.833 a day and the reports fill quickly, or spread it across 25, where it is about Rs.33 a day each and most products show nothing worth acting on by the end of the month. Neither moves organic rank much, which needs enough paid orders to signal sales velocity. Rs.75,000 across the catalogue is Rs.2,500 a day in total and Rs.100 behind each of 25 products, three times the daily weight of the Rs.25,000 spread.

Two things on the page shape the calendar more than the table shows. The target ACoS for each product is agreed in the first fortnight from its margin: if contribution margin after referral and fulfilment fees is 35 percent, an ACoS of 35 percent is break-even on the ad-attributed sale, and hero products should sit below that. And deal calendars are planned four weeks ahead with budgets pre-loaded, so a seller planning for a sale event inside the first 90 days should say so at the audit, not the week before. The two ratios the reports carry are compared in detail in our marketplace page's ACoS and TACoS section.

What do the first 90 days cost on the Rs.30,000 Starter tier?

Three months on Marketplace Starter at two spend levels (fee and caps from our marketplace page, read 4 November 2026; totals ours)
LinePer month90 days at Rs.75,000 spend90 days at the Rs.2,00,000 cap

Total for the quarterRs.3,31,200Rs.7,06,200
Fee with GST as a share of spendabout 47 percentabout 18 percent

At the floor, the fee with GST is close to half of what goes to Amazon, which is why the page calls Rs.75,000 a minimum rather than a target. The ad budget is charged by Amazon to the seller account and never passes through ours. The quarter also excludes what the page lists as outside the fee: marketplace referral, FBA and fulfilment charges, deal participation fees, product photography and A+ video. The plans run month to month after the first month with 15 days notice, so the only fee commitment is month one; staying for the full 90 days is a choice made because day 30 says too little. All three tiers are on our published pricing page.

What should a seller judge at day 30, day 60 and day 90?

  • Day 30: the work, not the result. Is the restructure live, is a target ACoS set for every product, does the weekly change log show harvested terms and new negatives with a date and a reason? The first monthly report lands here, and ACoS may not have moved yet.
  • Day 60: ACoS. The page expects improvement in weeks 4 to 6, so by now the search-term reports should show money moving from terms that spend without converting to exact-match terms that do. If ACoS is flat, ask which products are still below the data they need.
  • Day 90: TACoS and organic rank. Ad spend against total marketplace sales should be trending down as organic orders grow, and tracked keywords should show rank movement. If TACoS has climbed for three months without organic movement, the page says the problem is usually the listing, the price or the reviews, not the bids.

A low ACoS at day 30 is not a win

The quickest way to make ACoS look good is to cut spend to branded searches only, which the page warns can push ACoS to single digits while the brand stops growing. A first-month report with a very low ACoS and no movement in total sales deserves a question, not a celebration.

When is the Rs.30,000 Starter tier the wrong first purchase?

  • When the catalogue has more than 25 ASINs, or the plan is Amazon and Flipkart together. Either moves the account to Marketplace Growth at Rs.55,000 a month, which covers 100 ASINs, both marketplaces and Rs.2,00,000 to Rs.8,00,000 of spend.
  • When the budget is under Rs.75,000 and the catalogue is large. Narrow the ads to one or two hero products on Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000 instead, and accept that the test is about conversion, not rank.
  • When the listing is the problem. If a product is losing the Buy Box or is suppressed, the audit says so before ads are touched, and no bid strategy fixes it.
  • When stock will not last the quarter. Ads pause on anything under 3 weeks of cover, so a product that keeps running out cannot build the sales velocity organic rank needs.
  • When the brand has no marketplace presence yet and is weighing its own store first. That choice is worked through in our Shopify store against marketplaces-only comparison, and the store build itself on our ecommerce website development page.

For a seller who clears those checks, the first quarter is simple to state: give console access, fund Rs.75,000 a month for three months, hold the agency to the weekly change log, and make the budget decision at day 90 with ACoS, TACoS and rank on one page. The Seller Central and advertising console stay in the seller's name throughout, so whatever the decision, the campaigns and their history stay where they are.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start Amazon ads with less than Rs.75,000 a month?

Yes, if you narrow the ads to one hero product. Our marketplace page says a single product can be tested on Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000 a month, which is about Rs.833 to Rs.1,333 a day behind one listing. What it will not do is move organic rank much, and spreading the same money across a 25-product catalogue leaves about Rs.33 a day per product, too little for the weekly search-term harvest to find anything.

How long until Amazon PPC campaigns go live after I give access?

Within 10 working days of console access on our published process. The free audit of campaign structure, 60 days of search-term data and listing quality on the top 25 ASINs takes 3 to 5 working days, then campaigns are rebuilt by product role and listings on the top 10 products get keyword work. Access given on Thursday 5 November 2026 means campaigns live by Thursday 19 November, before public holidays.

Why judge Amazon advertising at day 90 and not day 30?

Because the effects arrive in sequence. ACoS usually improves in weeks 4 to 6 as negatives and exact-match harvesting take hold, organic rank on tracked keywords needs 6 to 12 weeks of consistent paid velocity, and TACoS should only start trending down from month 3. At day 30 the honest test is whether the work is happening: a target ACoS per product and a weekly change log with dated, explained edits.

What does the Amazon PPC Starter tier include in the first month?

Marketplace Starter is Rs.30,000 a month plus GST for one marketplace, up to 25 ASINs and up to Rs.2,00,000 of monthly ad spend. It covers Sponsored Products auto and manual campaigns, weekly bid and negative harvesting, listing keyword optimisation on the top 10 ASINs and a monthly ACoS and TACoS report. Sponsored Brands, Display, A+ refreshes and competitor conquest start on the Rs.55,000 Growth tier.

Do I pay the Amazon ad budget to the agency?

No. On our marketplace plans the ad budget is charged by Amazon or Flipkart directly to your own seller account and never passes through ours. The Rs.30,000 Starter fee plus 18 percent GST is the only amount invoiced by us. Referral fees, FBA or fulfilment charges, deal participation fees and product photography are also outside the fee and are paid where they arise.
